PROJECT TITLE: The Butt Hall Centre, Main St., Ballybofey, Co. Donegal

• The Butt Hall Centre, Redevelopment: Works included demolition of the existing Building and construction of a new state of the art building including theatre, office & Retail units on a town centre site including extensive piling operations, siteworks, and asbestos removal prior to the demolition works.
• The Site was bounded on both sides by existing buildings therefore extensive shoring, demolitions, excavations, opening up, and removal of existing components within a confined work place took place during the works.
• Due to the limited nature of accessing the site, temporary access was created for the basement dig including extensive Temporary works design.
• The site is centred in the busy town of Ballybofey, Co. Donegal.
• The building is 4 storey over basement, including the viewing tower to the front with its distinctive Cumura (Brazillian Teak) Hardwood Sheeting.
• The theatre has seating for approx. 350 people, which has tiered retractable seating, removable for dancing.
• The project involved a large number of specialist contractors for sound, seating, stage rigging and lighting which involved a great deal of coordination. The building has now a number of tenants, including the Balor theatre group, financial institutions and the Department of Social Reform.
• Full BCAR Requirements were followed including liaising with the Design Team.
• The Project Program was carefully monitored to ensure delivery on time and within the Budget.
